Holyoke Community College Foundation
The Holyoke Community College Foundation is a charitable corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Foundation, which is fiscally and legally separate from the college, exists for the sole purpose of providing support for programs and activities that enhance the quality of education and expand the educational opportunities for students enrolled at HCC.
Foundation activities and resources are managed by a Board of Directors comprised of business and civic leaders who are residents of the Pioneer Valley. Board members, who serve without compensation, bring to the HCC Foundation a community perspective and high level of management and leadership skills. These individuals have a strong interest in the college and the region. They are committed to using their talents, energy and influence to generate regional support for the college and Holyoke Community College Foundation.

President Bill Messner |
I write with particular gratitude for your support, given the challenging economic times.
The HCC family is made up of students, alumni, faculty, staff, retirees, friends and businesses. Their generous investment of time, talent, and treasure is alive and well everywhere on campus, in our classrooms and the communities where our students live and work. As I move into the fifth year as President of HCC, my admiration deepens for the individuals who constitute this remarkable college. Thank you to one and all who has answered the Foundation’s fundraising requests with resounding affirmation and support. Over $110,000 in scholarship funds have been awarded by the Foundation while over $275,000 has been given back to the College to support much-needed classroom equipment and technology.
Well on the way into our sixth decade as an institution of higher education, you have been integral to us reaching this far in the road. I hope you will continue to make the exciting journey with us as we engage a burgeoning population of students from so many different walks of life. Our students find HCC an indispensable learning community for achieving academic success and preparing for career opportunities; your support matters to them!
Given the reality that Commonwealth provides only 45% of the cost of a student’s education at HCC, I also ask that you consider renewing or increasing your tax-deductible contribution again next year.
On behalf of more than 9,000 students who directly benefited from your contribution in fiscal year 2008 please, accept my thanks!
