Free class helps adults prepare for college & career pathsABE Prep


Interested in college and a good career, but need help getting ready? Holyoke Community College and the Community Education Project offer a free course to help adult learners prepare for college. The course, which runs April 5 – May 28, meets at HCC Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 a.m-12:30 p.m. Additional tutor/mentor hours are required.

Students will receive instruction in basic arithmetic, English reading and writing, and computer and study skills. The class will be taught in English in a supportive environment. Bilingual counseling will be available in English and/or Spanish.

This class is for those over 18 who have a GED (from any time) or have graduated from high school five or more years ago. Graduates of the program will receive help with the college financial aid and admissions process. For information or to register, call (413) 552-2852 or email edreyfuss@hcc.edu.
