Please read.
This calculator is intended to provide estimated net price information (defined as estimated cost of attendance — including tuition and required fees, books and supplies, room and board (meals), and other related expenses — minus estimated grant and scholarship aid) to current and prospective students and their families based on what similar students paid in a previous year.
By clicking below, I acknowledge that the estimate provided using this calculator does not represent
a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance, or a final net price; it is an
estimate based on cost of attendance and financial aid provided to students in a previous year.
Cost of attendance and financial aid availability change year to year. The estimates shall
not be binding on the Secretary of Education, the institution of higher education, or the State.
Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be eligible for,
and receive, an actual financial aid award that includes Federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance.

Note: Any information that you provide on this site is confidential. The Net Price Calculator does not store your responses or ask for personal identifying information of any kind.

Please Note: The estimates above apply to full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduate students only.
The In-State median grant aid reported here for each EFC Range includes not only students who filed FAFSAs by our May 1 priority filing date, but also includes the large group of late filers, who aren't considered for grant aid other than Federal Pell Grants. Since we don’t have a sufficiently large number of Out-of-State students for this software program, we are reporting only the scheduled Federal Pell Grants for the median EFC in each range.
We suggest you try our Net Price Calculator for DIRECT COSTS to get a better understanding of what part of the direct costs of tuition, fees, books and supplies were covered by the average grant awards. For 2015-16 such direct costs for full-time residents were estimated at $6400 and for full-time out-of-state students at $12,200.
In addition we encourage prospective students to try out financial aid calculators on other websites, such as www.FinAid.org, to get a better estimate of "expected family contribution" (EFC) and corresponding Pell Grant. For community college students we suggest that you think of any EFC as going first toward family out-of-pocket expenses for the student while in school before any might be available for direct costs.
These estimates do not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance or a final net
price; they are only estimates based on cost of attendance and financial aid provided to students in 2015-16.
Cost of attendance and financial aid availability change year to year. These estimates shall not be binding on

Not all students receive financial aid. In 2015-16, 69% of our full-time students enrolling
for college for the first time received grant/scholarship aid. Students may also be eligible
for student loans and work-study. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine their eligibility for Federal financial aid that includes
Federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance. For more information on applying for
Federal student aid, go to

. For 2015-16 the neediest students having EFCs = 0 -- who also met financial aid residency requirements, filed FAFSAs by May 1, completed all other application requirements by June 30, and were making satisfactory academic progress -- were typically awarded $6,900 in grant aid, including $5,775 in Federal Pell Grants and $1120 in other grant aid. Grant aid for other such students with higher EFCs was scaled back approximitely $100 for each $100 increase in the "Expected Family Contribution" as calculated according to federal need analysis formulas. In addition, full-time, on-time students who met residency requirements and qualified for Pell Grants often also received state grants.
Eligible on-time non-resident applicants may be eligible for small additionalFederal grants to supplement their $5,775 Pell Grants. Non-residents sometimes qualify for tuition rates much closer to the in-state rates through the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) "Regional Compact". Contact the HCC Admissions Office for information on the NEBHE compact.
