HCC Traffic & Parking Rules and Regulations

Traffic rules and regulations for Massachusetts Community Colleges, as adopted by the Massachusetts Higher Education Coordinating Council, are applicable at Holyoke Community College. Copies may be obtained in the Campus Police Department in E Building, room 214. The following is a summary of those rules and regulations. Specific authorization for towing and traffic enforcement is contained in 610 CMR 7.00.

Traffic and parking rules & regulations: Are enforced year-round, including the summer months and semester breaks

Speed limit: 20 miles per hour on any campus roadway, and 10 miles per hour in any parking lot. Speeds greater than this are deemed unreasonable, except as otherwise posted, and for vehicles engaged in emergency work.

Moving violation: Citations will be issued in accordance with the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
