The purpose of this form is to convey new grant-funded project ideas and/or funding sources to the Resource Development Office and senior staff at HCC. This form does not have to be completed for reapplications for continuing project funds. Grant seekers should complete this form, or contact the Resource Development Office (x2404 or KC 201C) BEFORE performing any significant work on a proposal.
If you do not know of a source of funding for your idea, complete the form anyway and the Resource Development Office will begin the research process to find an appropriate source.
If you do know of a source of funding, the Grant Concept Form should be filled out within reasonable time before a grant deadline. Because each grant opportunity is different, "reasonable time" may mean one week for a simple proposal for a small project, to three to six months in advance of submission of a large federal proposal.
Once filled out and submitted, a copy of your request will be emailed to the Resource Development Office and you will receive a receipt. You may then be contacted for any clarifying information. The form will be shared and discussed with all senior staff. Approval of your request will be guaranteed within one week (most likely within a day or two).
Review the College Priorities to match up with your request.
