Favorite thing about teaching:
I love the fact that the teaching experience is always changing. No matter how many times you have taught the same course, a different group of students will make it a new experience. Teaching helps me grow personally and professionally, learn new things and use my creativity to try to reach all students.

Memorable moment at HCC:
I can't think of one single moment. In several years of teaching at HCC, I have had mostly positive experiences. In class, when I see the sparkle of interest in a student's eyes, when I see students do their very best and get excited about their learning. With my colleagues, when I see the camaraderie among us and the enormous support we give one another. These moments make me feel very fortunate to work here.

Teaching philosophy:
It is my goal to create a challenging and stimulating teaching environment in my classes, with a good dose of humor. In foreign languages, students learn best by experience, so I try to provide many oppportunities for students to interact with one another in meaningful and creative ways.

While I maintain high standards, I am always willing to help the student who wants to help him or herself.
