HCC Golf Classic
Proceeds will support the HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute
The bad news is the 31st Holyoke Community College Foundation Golf Classic, scheduled for Monday, Sept. 10, was cancelled due to forecasts of heavy rain.
The good news is there is still time to sign up to play as the annual golf benefit has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Springfield County Club in West Springfield.
Proceeds from the tournament will support the HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute, the home for culinary arts and hospitality management training programs.
The HCC Foundation is the nonprofit fundraising arm of Holyoke Community College. As before, the program begins with buffet lunch followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The $185 fee includes greens fees, golf cart, lunch, dinner, and refreshments on the course.
After an afternoon of golf, participants can enjoy cocktails on the clubhouse porch, dinner, and will have the opportunity to enter raffles and bid on dozens items including restaurant gift certificates, Red Sox memorabilia, wine baskets, and more.
Participants can arrange their own foursomes or sign up as singles.
Over 30 years, the annual HCC Foundation Golf Classic has raised more than $500,000 for HCC scholarships and educational technology for HCC classrooms.
