Please note that Nursing applications, Radiologic Technologist applications, Early Admit applications and International Student applications cannot be submitted online but must be mailed to Admissions.

Important Information:

HCC offers open admissions to most programs and applications are processed in the order they are received. Most programs do not have an application deadline, but we suggest submitting your application well in advance of the semester in which you wish to enroll. This gives you more time to complete assessment testing, apply for financial aid, and choose from the best selection of courses.

General Admissions

HCC has an open admissions policy; all who have at least one of the following qualifications are welcome to enroll in non-selective programs on a space available basis:

• Diploma from accredited high school
• General Education Development (GED) certificate
• International students who meet college and federal requirements

Based upon their assessment results and program objectives, students may be admitted and required to take developmental courses.

Selective Program Admissions

Admission to HCC does not guarantee admission to all programs. In additiion, special admissions requirements and application deadlines have been established for selective programs which require that students possess prior college-level skills and knowledge. If you’re interested in becoming a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or radiology technician, a separate application is required.
