HCC Youth Baseball Clinic (ages 7-16)
July 21-25
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Emphasizes individual skill development, one-on-one coaching and the importance of working together as a team. Required equipment: sunscreen, baseball cap, glove, bottled water marked with child's name, bat, lunch, and hand carry a clean pair of sneakers. Catchers should bring their equipment.

Botany Blast (ages 7-11)
July 7-11
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Learn about plants as food, medicine, and shelter. Explore trees and other plants outdoors and explore them under a microscope. Local hikes, lab work, building a shelter, wild edibles, and other activities will support the science of plant use.

Farm & Garden Fun (ages 9-12)
July 14-18
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Come with us while we visit local farms. Learn how plants and other crops from small-scale farms are made into food and other products. Make ice cream and other treats from local food, play in the dirt - create your own garden through planting seeds and plants to harvest at a later date.

HCC Youth Basketball Clinic (ages 8-17)
July 14-18
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This fun-filled, challenging program focuses on improving your basketball skills, leadership, confidence and taking your game to a higher level. Emphasizes developing your fundamental skills and basketball knowledge while building self-confidence and developing every player's ability to play more competitively. The clinic will be directed by HCC Men's Head Basketball Coach Chris Montemayor, who has over 18 years of coaching & directing basketball summer programs. Players should bring a towel, bottled water marked with name, non-perishable lunch and appropriate clothing. Bring an extra pair of clean pair of sneakers.

EnGarde: Youth Fencing (ages 10-17)
July 21-25
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
An introduction to the modern game of Olympic style fencing and its history. Cover fencing safety, fundamental techniques and tactics, basic equipment troubleshooting and repair, and competition. Students will be grouped within the class with others of similar age, skill, and size when appropriate. Students will participate in warm-up games and exercises to improve agility, balance, eye-hand coordination, and tactical thinking. Students will also learn juggling, a complementary skill to fencing. A variety of games that focus on the types of tactical and strategic thinking found in fencing will be included.

HCC Youth Soccer Clinic (ages 7-17)
July 28 - August 1
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
A comprehensive soccer clinic for young athletes taught by HCC's head coach Rob Galazka with assistance from top college soccer players. The clinic stresses basic and advanced skills with plenty of one-on-one instruction. Focus on technical and tactical skills. The popular Clinic Olympics will be held once again! Players should bring cleats, shin guards, shorts, towel, non-perishable snack, bottled water marked with child's name and appropriate clothing. Hand carry a clean pair of sneakers. Players are also welcome to bring their own soccer balls.

Hands-On Nature Adventure (Ages 9 - 13)
August 4-8
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The outdoor experience of a lifetime! Youth 10-15 will experience many of the natural wonders of our environment found right here in the Lower Pioneer Valley area. We will visit, explore and learn about: babbling brooks abundant in mysterious forms of aquatic life, investigate the ephemeral world of the vernal pools, observe the wonders of continental drift and glaciation responsible for our Connecticut Valley landscape. We'll also visit museums such as: the Great Falls Discovery Center in Turners Fall MA., and The Museum of Natural History located on the campus of Amherst College. Students will have the opportunity to touch dinosaur foot prints created millions of years ago here in Holyoke. Join us for this 5 day adventure!
