Library
Services for Distance Learning
Our goal is to ensure that distance learning students have access
to resources and services that mirror those that are available to
students enrolled in non-distance learning courses at HCC.
Access to traditional
resources and services, including, but not limited to, magazine
articles, books, and course reserves, are available through the
Library's homepage.
Online Databases
We provide HCC students
with remote access (from your home or other computer) to our databases
which include reference journal articles, encyclopedias and other
reference books. Many of these sources are available in full-text
and can be viewed, printed, and e-mailed to yourself and all you
need is an HCC Library Card. To gain access to our databases:
- Apply
for a library card if you haven't already done so.
to our databases to begin searching.
Research Assistance
If you need research
assistance, consult How
do I get started doing library research? and also see our ask
a librarian page including a way to ask librarians questions
through your computer 24 hours a day!
Questions?
Don't hesitate to contact
us -- you'll find phone numbers and e-mail addresses in our staff
directory.
