HCC Help with logging in from off campus

 

Here are solutions to the most common problems with logging in to library databases from off campus:

Problem: Your library account may have expired.
Solution: stop in to the library with a college ID and valid sticker and the staff will update your account.
Problem: Your web browser doesn't accept "cookies".
Solution: Change the settings on your web browser to accept cookies. Our proxy server requires the use of cookies. A "cookie" is a small bit of information (like a random number) that our proxy server uses to keep track of you so it won't ask you to login again during your session. There is a page explaining how to change the settings in your web browser to allow cookies.
