The Campus Police Department is staffed by nine full-time commissioned police officers. Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Each officer is a graduate of the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Academy or the Massachusetts State Police Training Academy. All officers have been trained in emergency medical procedures including first aid and CPR. Each officer undergoes continuous training to upgrade skills.

The mission of the Campus Police Department is to provide the highest level of safety, security, and service to all members of the College community. Toward that end, campus police officers conduct foot and vehicular patrols of the campus 24 hours a day. In addition, officers secure unlocked areas when not attended, enforce traffic and parking rules and regulations, complete reports, and maintain a daily police log. Officers respond to all emergency situations, including medical emergencies, and provide first aid when needed. Campus police also work closely with the state police and the Holyoke police when necessary.
