Holyoke Community College offers experiential education opportunities through cooperative education/internships that include the following:

• Placement in a work experience related to the major upon completion of 27 credits

• Parallel work experience (Students attend class and work during different semesters.) (Opportunity to work at Disney World is an example of alternation Co-op.)

• College credits toward certificate or degree – six per alternating work experience and three per parallel work experience

• Work experience to include as essential component of resume

• Weekly seminar to discuss career goals, topics related to success on the job, and workplace issues and rends

• Written evaluation by employer
