COURSE CODE: ASL 250

PREREQUISITES: Prerequisites: Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and/or Massachusetts State Screening Certification. (Additional prerequisites or a specific course or permission of the Deaf Studies Faculty/Coordinator may be specified, depending upon the topic to be studied.)

Provides students who are working ASL/English interpreters with in-depth work and study of a particular area of American Sign Language (e.g. classifiers, non-manual markers/signals, use of space, idioms, ASL discourse).
