PREREQUISITES: Prerequisite: Any PHI 100-level course.

A detailed examination of a particular debate or controversy in a specific aspect of continental or analytic philosophy. This might include such topics as philosophy of law, philosophy of history and history of philosophy, philosophy of science, 20th century thinkers, philosophy of religion, aesthetics, social and political philosophy, existentialism and phenomenology. Students will be expected to complete a research paper as part of their coursework. The topic will be announced in advance. Prerequisite: Any PHI 100-level course.
