My favorite class was EDU 104, Child Development and Behavior. I found myself very interested in learning about how child development can be so different as they grow and the impact of that development on the child. Professor Mary Lynch did a great job presenting all the materials to us.
Before coming to HCC, I attending a four-year school. Even though I was transferring in from a four-year college, I received the same high level of interaction and support as I did there. April Graziano was my advisor and she was very helpful in placing my transfer credits in a way that alowed me the quickest route to obtain my degree. Her one on one support made for a smooth transition.
I can save my parents money! I could go to HCC for about 5 or 6 years and spend the same amount of money that I spent in one year at the four-year school. Also, having a flexible schedule allows me to work and earn money as a substitute teacher. I gain experience as well.
After graduating (in December) with an Associates Degree in Liberal Studies, I am already set up to attend Westfield State Universities bachelor Program in Elementary Education. It couldn't be easier to transfer in.
