Certified Nursing Assistant
The Jumpstart CNA evening class with Health Care Educator Rosemary Costa, RN
Getting to know my CNA instructor Rosemary Costa. She encouraged us and although we were a class with different issues, such as being parents, or in school or having transportation issues, she was there for us.
The teachers at HCC are very devoted to what they do and to the students they teach. They go above and beyond their call to help us succeed.
I'm enrolled at HCC to get my CNA license because I want to do that kind of work per diem, and I'm also enrolled at Westfield State University, where I will graduate in May with my bachelor's degree in Social Work. I want to give back to my community, in particular working with the elderly community. I watched the care that CNA's gave to my grandmother when she was in a nursing home and I want to be able to help someone else's grandparent by offering that same level of quality care.
