Photography. I think the whole Photography Department is excellent.

Meaningful encounters:

The diversity on the HCC campus is the best thing. I went to another community college before here where it wasn't this diverse. There was a sense of isolation there. It's comforting here knowing that people from all walks of life are here. That's good and it's more real.

What is your favorite thing about HCC:

I love the campus. It's very spacious and inviting and the architecture of the buildings is beautiful. I think that plays a role in people's ability to feel engaged. The environment here is welcoming.

Where are you going from here:

I'm going to transfer to a school where I can earn my master's degree in Ayurvedic medicine. Ayurveda is a system of traditional medicine native to India and practiced in other parts of the world as a form of alternative medicine and a holistic lifestyle. I want to learn how to market the concept of living a conscious lifestyle so it's a fundamental part of the way we live.
