Meaningful encounters at HCC?

I met my partner in Jane Vecchio's Human Sexuality class, which is pretty funny. Plus Jane is a wonderful teacher!

What is your favorite thing about HCC?

It provides a terrific education and preparation for transfer-without impoverishing my parents! They are paying for college for my two sisters and me, and HCC's affordability makes that possible. There is also a wonderful Joint Admissions Transfer Scholarship opportunity. Students with a GPA above 3.2 get $7,000 off their tuition when transferring from HCC to Springfield College, which is where I plan to go. How great is that?

Where are you going from here?

I'm going into the Art Therapy Art Education Secondary Teacher Licensure program at Springfield College. It combines psychology and art, and will give me the flexibility to work in lots of different settings, such as schools, prisons, hospitals, and so on.
