Searching the online catalog

1. Go to the online catalog.
2. Tips for Searching by keyword 
3. Search for materials beyond HCC to include all Western Massachusetts CWMARS libraries.  Simply change the location box in the search screen from HCC:
   
   
   to All Western MA Libraries: 
    
   
   If there is no location box, either click on (near the top of the screen) or switch to a Keyword search.
   
   
4. Find a book you want that's in another library? Request that it is sent to HCC (or any other CWMARS library) to pick it up here.  Find a particular item that you want and click on  (near the top of the screen).  You will be asked for you library card number and given a chance to specify which library you'd like to pick up the item.  
   
   
5. Can't find what you are looking for?  Expand your search to include both Western AND Central Massachusetts libraries.  Click on  (near the top of the screen) to search all of these libraries at once.  It is possible to request items just like in the above tip -- just look for the link, REQUEST THIS ITEM near the middle of the page.
