Cross Country Academic All-Americans Honored

Two of the fall 2013 Holyoke Community College Cross Country runners have been named Academic All-Americans.  

Freshman Joseph Orlowski (Middlefield, MA), a 2013 graduate of Gateway High School, completed the fall semester with a 3.647 GPA.  Orlowski, a mathematics major, was consistently the top runner for the Cougars.  He ran a season best 8K time of 28:52.59 at the Western New England Invitational and also placed 62 overall on a tough Northfield Mountain NJCAA Cross Country National Championship course in November.  Joseph ran a time of 31:27.93.

Freshman teammate Travis Warren also received Academic All-American honors with a team best 3.737 GPA.  Warren, a 2013 graduate of South Hadley High School, ran his personal best at the 18th Annual James Early Invitational in Westfield.  His 8K time posted a mark of 31:12.25.  Warren also competed in the Division III NJCAA National Championships and finished in a time of 32:06.58.
