Area high school and college students are invited to submit their work for a competition and festival marking the 20th anniversary of the Holyoke Community College Electronic Media Program.
The competition is being conducted as part of the HCC Electronic Media Festival on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in HCC's Electronic Media Arts Center.
HCC is inviting high school and college students to submit work in advance for the festival competition. Awards will be given out for high school and college-level work in several categories: Animation (2D and 3D), Video (narrative, experimental and documentary), Interactive Media and Digital Imaging.
The deadline for submissions is April 19th. Entry information is available at www.hcc-cmta.org/emfestival.
Winning work will be screened at the festival in the HCC Electronic Media Center's Black Box Theater, and awards will be presented that day. Students are also invited to attend a panel discussion with professionals working in electronic media and to view presentations by professionals about their work and careers.
