Teodore Tallies Two Against Massasoit

(Brockton, MA)  Women's soccer faced off Saturday in their second meeting with Massasoit Community College in seven days after blanking the Warrior's in their previous meeting 3-0.  As the visitors in this match, Holyoke used a tremendous second half to pull out a well deserved 2-0 win.  Amanda Olson remained solid on the goal line, posting the 4th shutout of the season and also 4th consecutively.  With another spectacular team defensive performance led by Kaley Donovan, Olson remained solid as the last line of defense with 5 saves.

Sophomore keeper Kristin Reardon for the Warriors is credited with 9 saves as a result of the Cougars high-powered offense.  Jess Teodore however, was too much for the Warriors defense.  In the second half, midfielder Devon Wolfenden sliced through the Massasoit defense finding Teodore for the Cougars first goal of the afternoon.  Later in the half, outside midfielder Kristy Cominoli continued to pressure the Warriors defensive line and assisted on Teodore's second goal of the match to give the Cougars the 2-0 lead.

Teodore, Donovan, Olson, and Cominoli led the way to the Cougar's fifth consecutive win.  Holyoke is now 4-0-0 in Region 21 Division III play and has amassed a 5-2-0 record.  The women's squad will play Division I regional opponent Community College of Rhode Island on Wednesday at home.  Kick off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
