Cougars begin quest for national title

The HCC women's soccer team departed from the Holyoke campus this morning (Wed., Nov. 6) to travel to Tomkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, N.Y., on its quest for a national title. 

The team will face Gloucester County College out of Sewell, New Jersey, in the quarterfinal match of the NJCAA Division III National Championship on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. This contest, along with all other tournament games, will be broadcast live on the Internet. To watch, click here.

In a recent poll, the HCC women's soccer team was ranked 8th in the country in Division III after winning the New England region championship.

If the Lady Cougars prevail, they will face the winner of game two, either Richland Community College out of Dallas, Texas, or Mohawk Valley Community College from Utica, New York, on Friday, Nov., 8 at 3:00 p.m.
