Cougars earn spot in Final Four

Midfielder Devon Wolfenden scored in the 38th minute to lead the HCC women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Gloucester Community College and a spot in the Final Four of the NJCAA Division III National Championship.

The Cougars will play a semifinal game tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m. against either Richland Community College, of Dallas, Texas, or Mohawk Valley Community College, from Utica, New York. The championship tournament is being held at Tomkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, N.Y.

If the Cougars win Friday, they will play in the national championship game Sunday at 3 p.m. If they lose, they will play a consolation game Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Cougars won the NJCAA New England Regional title on Saturday, Oct. 26, and were ranked 8th in the nation heading into the championship tournament.
