Online Learning

Save gas, cut your commute and organize college around your schedule, instead of the other way around! Online courses at HCC make it easier for busy people to get an education. Many HCC degree and certificate programs can be completed 80% or 50% online, and nearly all of our programs have a significant number of courses that can be completed online. Wonder if you're a good candidate for online courses? Students enrolled in an online classes need to be self-directed and able to work well independently. Despite the fact that you are working remotely, class participation is an important part of online courses, and student participation is expected.

HCC uses Moodle for its online learning system. There are three types of Moodle courses at HCC: Online, Brick & Click (half online and half live onsite classes), and Onsite Companion (courses that use web-based information in addition to live lecture). Curious about Moodle? Check out this demo.
