The Skills, Training, and Enrichment Program, better known as STEP, encourages seventh and eighth grade students to overcome barriers to academic success and pursue higher education. This after-school program meets at the Holyoke Middle Schools and Saturdays at HCC. Students are offered instruction in language, science, math, and computer skills, as well as workshops on career exploration and personal management skills. Students also participate in field trips to area colleges and to places of cultural or scientific interest.
