| Tech Prep in Massachusetts is a program of study that begins in
high school and parallels a college course of study. Tech Prep programs
lead to an associate degree and tie in with many four-year degree
programs in such fields as arts and media, engineering, construction,
health, business, marketing, technology, and agriculture education.
The Hampden-Hampshire Tech Prep Consortium is composed of Holyoke
Community College (where the consortium is based), Springfield Technical
Community College and 23 High Schools in Hampden and Hampshire Counties.
We have articulation agreements with a number regional secondary
schools in many areas of study. Through these agreements, students
earn college credits for courses taken in high school that produce
the same competencies as the introductory college courses as specified
in the articulation agreements, which saves students time and money.
