Moriarty Medals at NJCAA Track & Field National Championships

Cougars James Moriarty throws the javelin

(Columbia, MD) - Holyoke CC track & field athlete James Moriarty (South Hadley, MA / South Hadley HS) is the Cougars' first athlete to participate in the NJCAA Track & Field National Championship Tournament since Holyoke returned to competing in the sport a few years ago. Moriarty, who excels in javelin, not only participated but also placed eighth nationally in his event. The top eight finishers in an event at the national championships are recognized and are among the medalists.

Moriarty had several great throws at the NJCAA Championships hosted by Howard CC of Columbia, MD. His best distance of 42.69 meters earned him the eighth place medalist spot. Congratulations to James Moriarty on this wonderful accomplishment. Let's go Cougars!
