Holyoke to Host Women’s Soccer N.E. Championship
#1 Seed Lady Cougars Await Opponent
The Lady Cougars soccer team has clinched the top spot in the New England standings with their perfect 8-0-0 regional record. Holyoke has seven shutouts conceding just one goal while scoring 52 goals in regional play. They have an overall record of 13-4-0 at the end of the regular season.
The Cougars will host the New England Championship game this Sunday at 1pm. Their opponent will be the winner of Friday's semifinal, to be played at HCC at 2pm, between #2 seed Springfield Technical CC (5-2-1 regional record) and #3 seed Massasoit CC (4-3-1 regional record). Holyoke defeated STCC by 4-0 and 5-0 this season and defeated Massasoit 1-0 and 3-1.
Holyoke CC women's soccer has won five consecutive New England Championships and nine of the past 11. If this year's Lady Cougars play their best on Sunday, they will make it six in a row. Let's go Cougars!
