ABE Transition to College & Careers

ABE Transition to College & Careers (ABE TCC) is a free, non-credit program offered both day and evenings that helps adult students 18+ prepare for college and identify a career path. Includes intensive academic preparation in English reading and writing, math, study strategies and computers in a college context in a supportive learning community environment. Bilingual student support, career counseling, tutoring and mentoring are integral parts of our program.

A collaboration between the Community Education Project (CEP) and HCC, ABE TCC offers a supportive community and:

  • Instruction in math, reading, writing, computer skills, and study strategies.
  • Mentoring and tutoring.
  • Weekly speaker series of academic, career and skill building classes/workshops.
  • Assistance with college and financial aid applications and navigating the college environment.
  • Counseling in Spanish or English.

A separate program, Bridge to ABE TCC, is offered to learners who need additional help before beginning the ABE TCC program.  ABE TCC welcomes all adult students to apply.
