Are you interested in college but need some support along the way? STRIVE is designed to help you succeed. It provides ongoing academic and personal assistance to students who are first generation to college or low-income or have a documented disability.
STRIVE is a federally funded Student Support Services TRIO program for academically disadvantaged students. Participants receive individualized advising and academic support.
Graduation ceremonies occur yearly, usually near the date of HCC's Commencement.
STRIVE operates daily from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and by appointment. It is located in Donahue Building, Room 235.
Transportation to HCC is available via PVTA buses. Parking is available in student lots.
Students must fill out a STRIVE application and attend an intake meeting with a STRIVE advisor. Acceptance priority will be given to students who demonstrate the ability to persevere and are likely to earn a certificate or a degree within four years of acceptance into STRIVE.
