Transfer to Westfield State University

FIRST DEGREE a reverse transfer partnership established by Holyoke Community College and  Westfield State University.

The First Degree Program is a reverse transfer partnership between Holyoke Community College and Westfield State University for those students who transferred to WSU before they completed their assoicates' degree, but have earned at least 30 credits at HCC. These students may be eligible to complete outstanding associates degree requirements while simultaneously working towards completion of the bachelors degree.

Presidents MassTransfer:

The President's MassTransfer program will be implemented for the fall of 2015 as a cost-effective program designed for participating HCC students who transfer directly in WSU upon earning one of the selected Mass. Department of Higher Education (DHE) MassTransfer associate's degree and enroll in a linked bachelor's degree program. HCC first-year students enrolled in any of the designated associate's may sign up to participate in the Presidents' MassTransfer program at WSU.

This program will provide an opportunity to commuting students and their parents to plan their educational budget in advance for a total cost not to exceed $30,000 of in-state tuition and mandatory fees, including completion of both a designated associate's degree at HCC and a linked bachelor's degree at WSU. 

All students must sign up to participate in the Presidents Masstransfer program before they have accumulated 30 credits towards graduation. This participation form must also accompany your application to Westfield State University.

Holyoke Community College and Westfield State Univetrsity Division of Graduate and Continuing Education have created a new agreement for online students called MassTransfer Plus. This new program guarantees qualifiying students admissions to WSU online degree-completion program, provided they complete the associates degree program, including the 34 credit MassTransfer Block, with at least a 2.5 QPA, before enrolling at WSU.
