In 2014, the Higher Education Finance Commission found that public colleges and universities in Massachusetts are underfunded by $574 million a year. For Holyoke Community College, that amounts to $9,688,141 a year. As a result of the decrease in the per pupil state allocations, student debt has exploded and resources have been stretche.
Faculty are encouraged to bring their students to this event. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
SD.741, the Cherish Act, aims to improve funding to public higher education institutions across Mass.
