Holyoke Bound
A day-long gathering for people interested in getting involved
Hundreds of college students, faculty and staff from western Massachusetts will gather at Holyoke Community College on Sat., Sept. 22, for Holyoke Bound, a day-long gathering for those interested in working, volunteering and collaborating with residents and community groups in the city of Holyoke.
The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning in the Leslie Phillips Theater with break-out sessions in the Donahue Building.
The event is sponsored by the Five Colleges Consortium, which includes Smith, Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke colleges and the University of Massachusetts.
The day includes breakfast and a traditional Puerto Rican lunch from Holyoke's Fernandez Family Restaurant.
Fifty seats are reserved for HCC students, faculty and staff.
