QTBIPOC Kinship, Co-liberation & Coalitional Healing
How do we build circles of kinship in order to decolonize and liberate ourselves from oppression? What does coalition-building/healing look like today for queer, trans, and nonbinary BIPOC individuals?
Drawn from the revolutionary ethos of Gloría Anzaldúa, Cherríe Moraga, Audre Lorde, Toni Cade Bambara, and many more artist scholars, this two-day multidisciplinary arts workshop is a welcoming space for participants to write, speak, reflect, create, and share. We will unearth our own methods for gathering, taking action, and growing in a multifaceted community. We will not be afraid of our differences or dissonance, which nourish our healing and transformation. This event will feature music by Doctora Xingona Alvarez.
