Two members of the Cougars baseball team have earned awards for their outstanding performances during the 2022 season. Sophomores Zack Jenks and Jason Couture are the recipients of the honors. Both have earned a Holyoke CC Cougars team award while Jenks also obtained NJCAA All-Region recognition.

Zack Jenks (Belchertown, MA / Belchertown HS) - Second Year - First Baseman - #12
2nd Team All-New England, Cougars Player Award
Jenks, the Cougars' starting first baseman, played brilliantly throughout the season on his way to earning NJCAA All-Region (All-New England) honors. A very solid and consistent fielder, Jenks was also strong at the plate this year. He was second on the team in hits and home runs. Jenks is the recipient of the prestigious Player Award that goes to a member of the team who represents Cougar baseball proudly in the way he carries himself with class and competitiveness both on and off the field.

Jason Couture (Agawam, MA / Agawam HS) - Second Year - Catcher - #11
Cougars Most Valuable Player
Couture, the Cougars' starting catcher, had a stellar year earning team MVP honors. He was a dominant force at the plate and exceptional defensively while behind the plate. Couture impressively led the Cougars in five offensive categories and was second in another. He led the team in hits, home runs, RBIs, runs and slugging percentage and was second in batting average. Couture was in the top 30 in NJCAA Division III in slugging percentage and in the top 70 in home runs while playing in just half the amount of games as the national leaders.
