There will be an opportunity during this time period for team photos (taken by our SID) in front of the National Championship banner. We encourage all teams to participate. meet information

Hand times are not accepted as qualifying times. All qualifying times must be FAT (Fully Automatic Times).

Athletes who don't reach a qualifying standard may enter the meet under the "White Card" provision. Each institution is permitted 3 events (individual or relay) of white card entries for both men and women. A white card may be used for an entry into the multi.

See page 173 Section 5 of the 2015-16 NJCAA Handbook for further information.

Regional Champions automatically qualify for the national meet. A college is only allowed 3 participants per event! Regional Champions and White Card entries must enter via Direct Athletics.

Team Scoring - Top 8 places will score 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. The top 2 finishers of each event will earn All American honors. The other 6 places will receive medals.

1/4 pyramid spikes are the only spikes allowed on the track surface. No Christmas trees or pin spikes are allowed.

The javelin runway is a mondo surface. 1/4 spikes are flat throwing shoes are allowed.

Starting blocks will be furnished. Schools may not use their own blocks.

Implements will be weighed. Weigh in concludes 1 hour prior to the event beginning. We will be weighing in implements from 12pm-5pm on Friday. It is suggested that athletes use this time to weigh in. Certified implements will be brought by meet management to the competition area.

The Pole Vault progression for both men and women is as follows: 15cm for the first 3 heights and 10cm for remaining heights.

Nine competitors will advance to the finals in the field events.

Advancement to finals in running events: 100m, 200m, 400, 110HH, 100H, 400H and 4x100 Relay advance on time only.

See Page 177-178 for 800m and 1500m advancement.

4x800m, 3000 Steeple, 5000m, & 10,000m will be run as a final only.

An award ceremony will take place as soon as possible when the final of the each event concludes. Please have your athletes walk to the announcers' tent at the 50 yard line area.

** We have condensed the time schedule into 2 days. I would like to discuss at the coaches meeting about the possibility of running the 800m as a timed final in sections on Saturday and the 1500m as a timed final in sections on Sunday. This would allow for rest if you have kids running these and either the 4x400 or 4x800. For example based on last years' entries in the Men's 800m, we only eliminated 6 guys.

Advancement to finals in running events: Email your multi entries tstewart@hcc.edu by April 29, 2016. Coaches will receive an email confirming your athlete is one of the top 16. Once confirmed please enter them on Direct Athletics on Monday, May 2, 2016 by 6pm.
