(Boston, MA / Holyoke, MA) - The Lady Cougars won two regional games this past week, defeating Bunker Hill CC 5-0 on Thursday in Boston before a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Bristol CC on Saturday. Holyoke opened Thursday's contest with three goals in the first 15 minutes on their way to the shutout win. In Saturday's game the Cougars edged out the victory after having most of the ball possession and outshooting a very prepared and organized Bristol team.

Lizzy Zollo (Monson, MA / Monson HS) played brilliantly on both days for Holyoke, tallying two goals and an assist in Thursday's victory before scoring the game-winning goal in Saturday's contest. Gabby Petlock (Southampton, MA / Smith Vocational HS) scored a goal in each game and Mary Glasheen (Holyoke, MA / Holyoke HS) registered a goal and an assist on Thursday. Zollo, Petlock and Glasheen are tied as the team's leaders in goals with four a piece this year. Kayla La Fortune (Holyoke, MA / Holyoke HS) had a pair of assists against Bunker Hill and Gab Robert (Monson, MA / Monson HS) scored a goal Thursday and added an assist on Saturday. Hannah Garon (Monson, MA / Monson HS) was in goal for both wins, earning her and the Cougars' second shutout of the season on Thursday.

The Lady Cougars are 3-0-0 regionally and 3-3-1 overall. They are unbeaten in their last four games overall. Holyoke will travel to Quinsigamond CC on Tuesday afternoon before hosting Massasoit CC on Saturday, September 28th at 1pm. Let's go Cougars!
