Women’s Soccer 2021 Season Preview
Lady Cougars Ready to Kick-Off Campaign
The 2021 Lady Cougars soccer team will open their season this weekend, traveling to Randolph, Vermont to square off against non-NJCAA opponent, Vermont Technical College. Holyoke gets the campaign underway at 2:30pm on Sunday, September 5th, playing on the campus of Vermont Tech.
The Cougars begin the season with optimism, hoping to win another New England championship for the storied women's soccer program. Leading the way for this year's team are returners Gabriella Robert (Wilbraham, MA / Monson HS) and Karina Volpe (Easthampton, MA / Easthampton HS). Robert, a midfielder, was a member of last season's (2019) team while Volpe, a defender, played her freshman season for HCC in 2017. Both players bring a wealth of talent and leadership to this year's group.
The 2021 team will strive to continue the Lady Cougars' strong tradition of success. Holyoke has won a remarkable eight consecutive New England championships and 12 of the last 14. Let's go Cougars!
