(Holyoke, MA) - Men's basketball put forth one of their most dominant performances of the season at home on Tuesday evening, defeating Ben Franklin Institute 86-64. The 22-point margin of victory was the Cougars' largest of the season. Holyoke matched their season high for three-pointers made in a game, sinking 12 in the contest from long range.

Michael Castillo (Northampton, MA / Northampton HS) scored his season high 28 points to lead the charge and was one of two Cougars who registered a double-double. Castillo brought down a dozen rebounds and has led Holyoke in points in each of their last three wins. Moashaun Alvarado (Springfield, MA / Sci-Tech HS) scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, earning his double-double. Alvarado scored his season high of 37 in Holyoke's previous game, the second highest total put up by a Cougar this season.

Holyoke has a regional record of 7-6 as they stay in the hunt to qualify for the New England Championship Tournament. Their overall record is 7-9. The Cougars will host their next pair of games, which are two very important regional matchups. Bristol CC comes to town on Thursday, February 6th for an 8pm start before a 3pm tip-off on Saturday, February 8th against CC of Rhode Island. Let's go Cougars!
