Day Trips

Student Activities sponsors bus trips open to all students, faculty, staff, and their friends and families. New York City, Broadway, Salem, and Boston are common destinations, but new places are added based upon requests.

Depart HCC 7 a.m. from Bus circle outside Frost building
Depart at 7 p.m. from the rear of St Patricks Cathedral
Drop-off options: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rockefeller Center, Battery Park (9/11 memorial and Liberty Island) 
Add-on: Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty Crown Access tour tickets are available for $15 for HCC students, $20 Everyone else.
Cost: Currently enrolled HCC students $25, HCC Faculty and Staff $30, Everyone else $35  

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 3, 2017 in Donahue 103. Cost includes bus seat only. 

Bronx Zoo

Depart at 5 p.m. from the bus parking lot
Total cost per person: Currently enrolled HCC students $30, HCC Faculty and Staff $40, Adult guests $50, Guests ages 3–12 $35, Guests under 3 years old $20.  

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 3, 2017. Cost includes bus seat and "Total Experience" zoo admission. 

Bus Trip Details:
  • All tickets are first come, first served; a waiting list is available if necessary.​ ​HCC community members may purchase up to 4 tickets per trip. 
  • Payment must be in cash only. Tickets must be paid for in full at time of reservation in Student Activities, DON 103.
  • All trips are make-your-own-day trips; we do not provide guides or chaperones.
  • Transportation is provided by a coach bus with restroom and wifi. 
  • All tickets are first come, first serve; a waiting list is available if necessary.
  • Everyone attending a bus trip must fill out and sign a Hold Harmless Form.
  • Buses depart at the times specified; we are unable to hold buses for tardy persons for any reason. Should you miss the bus you are responsible for finding and financing your own travel arrangements home.
  • If you should want to give up your seat after purchase, we will offer it to those on the waiting list. If no waiting list exists, you will be responsible for finding your own replacement. We are unable to issue refunds.
