ARISE Conference

Advancing Research and Innovation in STEM Equity (ARISE)

The Advancing Research and Innovation in STEM Equity (ARISE) Conference will be hosted at Holyoke Community College on Friday, April 12, 2024.

The mission of the conference is to offer participants the opportunity to reflect on implementing inclusive or culturally responsive strategies in their classrooms and institutions, share best practices or research around equity and inclusion as it relates to teaching and programmatic practices, and to create a dynamic community focused on systemic change around STEM higher education practices.

Hosted by Holyoke Community College, and partially supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF #2030890), the ARISE inaugural Spring 2024 conference will bring together educators, students, and community members committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) on campuses and awareness, preparation and needs of nonprofits, businesses and industries.

This conference honors the continuous work of the STEM community and seeks to leverage our skills and commitment to transform STEM education and promote diversity in STEM.

Students, faculty, staff and the entire HCC community are invited to attend and present their work. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Please see the flier for more information and to register visit the ARISE Conference website.
