The Student Senate represents the voice of the students to the administration of the college. We provide and promote a partnership in governance among all segments of the college community. Throughout the year, the Senate plans and participates in activities and events that contribute to the college and the surrounding community.

I am majoring in Liberal Arts and planning to transfer to Mount Holyoke College in 2021. I am the president of Student Senate and a member of the Academic Standards Committee. You can talk to me about our plans for equity and inclusion within the school, ways of joining the student senate, and also ways to become more active on campus that suit you the best.
I am currently enrolled in the program Transition to College & Careers (TCC). I serve as the Vice President of Student Senate. Also, I am a member of the Mental Health Task Force, the Equity/Diversity/Inclusion Committee, and the Safety Task Force. I lead the Adult Learners Club. I am passionated about social justice; anti-racist practices; equity, diversity, and inclusion; human rights; restorative justice; criminal justice; politics; adult learners; self-advocacy; and leadership opportunities. I am currently majoring in Music. I am the Secretary of Student Senate, and have held other leadership roles in past semesters. I'm back at HCC to finish my degree after a break to have my children! I am a member of the Equity/Diversity/Inclusion Committee and Hispanic Leadership Committee. Talk to me about diversity, Hispanic/Latinx enrollment, and music.
I am a liberal arts major with an interest in political science. I am a student senator, the OER student ambassador, and am part of the NSO/EDI Initiatives Subcommittee. I'm in the Pathways program, and also am an international student. I was born in Australia and am of Korean ethnicity! Talk to me about racial diversity, mental health, education, transferring, etc.
I am currently majoring in Hospitality Management and transferring to the University of Massachusetts Amherst in fall 2021 majoring in Hospitality & Tourism Management. I graduated from Connecticut Culinary Institute in 2005 and have been a chef for the last 15 years. I came to HCC to learn how to open and operate my future restaurant "Waugh's." I'm a member of: Instructional Technology Committee, Equity & Diversity Focus Group, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, SHOUTS Mentor, DUDE Founding Mentor, NSO Leader, Emerging Business Leader Club, Creative Writing Club, New Directions, TRIO Program. I am a Psychology major and planning to transfer to either Columbia University or Johns Hopkins University in 2021. I'm a member of Student Senate, mentor for SHOUTS mentorship program, Library Committee member, Safety Task Force Committee member, and member of Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Beta. I am a Liberal Arts major as well as a member of Student Senate and HCC Democrats! I am also a community activist. Talk to me about activism/leadership opportunities in the surrounding communities of Northampton, Springfield, and Holyoke.
I am the Student Engagement Coordinator and have been at HCC for 15 years in many different roles. My background is in psychology, non-profit management, and leadership development. I teach Intro to Sociology, am the Advisor for the Student Senate, and serve as chair in planning HCC's graduation ceremony.
