HCC Student Computer Recommendations
Program Specific Requirements
Nursing requires the Basic Windows Computer or the Basic Mac Computer.
Chromebooks and Tablets are not compatible with testing software.
Other Departments/Majors
These programs recommend the Basic Windows Computer or the Basic Mac Computer.
Chromebooks can be used for basic word processing and most web-based activities, but
software cannot be loaded on a Chromebook.
- All Windows Computers should have a web-camera, microphone, and wireless card (802.11a/b/g/n compatible)
- All Windows Computers should be running a supported version of the operating system, have antivirus software and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Microsoft Office is available as a free download for all HCC students.
