Return to HCC

Are you ready to return to school and continue your college education?

HCC has new programs that can help prepare you for a promotion at work, an exciting new job, or transfer to a four-year institution. We know balancing college with work or parenting can be challenging, but HCC is here to help.

With flexible online and evening classes, our academic programs meet you wherever you are. Plus, our fast-track courses make it easy for you to complete your degree on your schedule and in less time. Students returning to HCC find support, help, and tools to succeed!

Take a look at some of the support services we offer:
  • Marieb Adult Learner Success Center: A college success program serving students age 24 and older, parents, and veterans, including those who have been out of school for many years. Find help like academic advising, basic computer instruction, career and transfer guidance, and scholarship assistance.
  • STRIVE: Provides ongoing academic and personal assistance to students who are first generation, low-income, or have a documented disability.
  • Center for Academic Program Support (CAPS): Provides free assistance like tutoring, writing, ESL, and math centers; study groups and ongoing study skills workshops; and programs such as our free Math Mini Prep sessions. Additionally, CAPS provides specialized academic programs such as supplemental instruction, learning coaches, and mentoring.
  • Thrive: Need help balancing your budget? Have questions about managing money? Take control of your finances today! Thrive will help you create a plan that will get you closer to achieving your goals and building a more stable future.
Have you earned credits at another college?

You may be able to use them toward your degree requirements at HCC! Send us your official transcripts and we will take a look. Check out our list of exams for college credit to see if your real-world work experience can count as college credit, too.

When you start at HCC, you can go anywhere.

From programs that prepare you to directly enter the workforce to strong partnerships with transfer institutions in the Pioneer Valley, you'll be set up for success.

  • Advising, Career & Transfer Center (ACT): ACT educates and empowers a diverse community of students and alumni as they make career decisions and develop job search strategies as a pathway to career success. Support includes career counseling, career exploration, choosing a major, and job search assistance.
  • Pathways: Pathways helps promising students succeed at HCC, and explore transfer opportunities to selective liberal arts colleges such as Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith.
There's a lot new at HCC!

New online courses and programs; new student clubs and organizations; new scholarship and grant opportunities. What hasn't changed is our enthusiastic, welcoming community and our commitment to you.
