Holyoke Community College will be hosting its first International Mixer to celebrate cultures from all over the world on Wed., May 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the HCC Courtyard.
"The International Mixer is going to be an event where all of our students, staff and faculty come together as one and celebrate the different cultures that make up our college family here at HCC," said HCC Student Clubs coordinator Jenn Ortiz. "We're going to have food, music and art and a lot of activities organized by students, faculty and staff who want to share their cultures with others. It's going to be big event and one that will also provide opportunities for everyone to learn about cultures other than their own."
Among the cultures/countries expected to be represented at the mixer are Poland, Turkey, Japan, Italy, France, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Nigeria, Scotland, Hebrew/Judaic, Czech Republic, as well as others.
