We're here to help! HCC's Financial Aid Office is holding workshops to help HCC students. Gather your information and join us for one of the sessions so you can receive expert assistance with:
- FSA ID Creation
- Filing FAFSA for 2019-2020 OR 2020-2021 (beginning in October)
- Loan Requirements: Entrance counseling, master promissory notes, and loan requests
- HCC Online Services: View, accept, and decline awards

The checklists below can help you determine what you will need with you when you attend a lab.
FSA ID Checklist
❏ For help creating an FSA ID you will need access to a valid email address
❏ Create a memorable and unique username between 6 and 30 characters (no special characters)
❏ Create a memorable password between 8 and 30 characters (containing at least three of the following: one upper case letter, one lower case letter, one number, or one special character)
❏ You must enter your social security number, date of birth, first name, middle initial, and last name (as it appears on your social security card)
❏ You will enter your mailing address
❏ Set up four security questions, including two you create yourself
❏ We also recommend providing a unique eight-digit code
❏ We strongly suggest providing a mobile phone number with texting capabilities
❏ If you need assistance resetting your FSA ID please contact Federal Student Aid prior to attending a Financial Aid Lab session by phone at 1.800.557.7394, by TTY for the hearing impaired at 1.800.730.8913, by web chat from www.fafsa.gov. (Click "Help," then "Contact Us," and then the LIVE HELP button to initiate a chat.)
❏ Your FSA ID: see above
❏ Your social security number and your parent's social security number if you are providing parental information
❏ Your alien registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen
❏ Federal tax information or tax returns including IRS W-2 information, for yourself (and spouse, if you are married), and for your parents if you are providing parental information.
- If you are filling out the 2019-2020 FAFSA, you will need 2017 tax information.
- If you are filling out the 2020-2021 FAFSA, you will need 2018 tax information.
❏ Records of untaxed income, such as child support received, interest income, and veterans' non-education benefits, for yourself (and spouse, if you are married), and for your parents if you are providing parental information
❏ Information on cash; savings and checking account balances; investments, including rental properties; and business and farm assets for yourself (and spouse, if you are married), and for your parents if you are providing parental information
HCC's Financial Aid Office encourages those students who are providing parental information to be accompanied by at least one parent.

Loan Requirement Checklist
❏ Your verified FSA ID login information. You must be able to access your FSA ID to complete the Entrance Counseling and Loan Agreement/MPN.
HCC Online Services Checklist
❏ You will need your HCC ID: Your nine-digit HCC ID number located on your HCC ID card, and PIN: Default/temporary pin is: An uppercase "H" + lowercase "cc" + the last six digits of your HCC ID number. For example, if the last six digits of your HCC ID are 123456, your password would be Hcc123456.
