Adelante (ah-deh-lahn-teh) means forward – and your support helps our students take their next brave step.
Every day, HCC students take brave steps forward: a single parent returning to school, a first-generation student taking the first step toward a degree, or a career changer building a new future. Your support makes those steps possible.
Now, the Adelante spirit – moving forward together – can multiply your impact. Thanks to a $750,000 commitment from the HCC Foundation Board of Directors, qualifying gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar through June 30, 2030.
Three Ways to Participate
The Adelante spirit—moving forward together—drives this campaign. Here’s how you can multiply your impact from now through June 30, 2030:
- Support an Existing Scholarship Fund: Give $2,500 or more* to a scholarship already changing lives. Your matched gift strengthens the fund, increasing the annual scholarship award for years to come. Example: Give $5,000, and with the match, you’ve added $10,000 to the endowed scholarship fund—generating approximately $400 annually in scholarship support, year after year.
- Establish a New Endowed Scholarship Fund. Create a lasting legacy honoring someone who shaped your life – a teacher, mentor, parent, or friend. With a gift of $15,000 or more*, you build a fund that will support students in perpetuity. Example: Give $20,000, and with a match, you will create a $40,000 endowed fund generating approximately $1,600 in annual scholarships — every year, forever.
- Join the Frost Society through Estate Planning. Include HCC in your estate plans and receive a $1,000 match to support any existing scholarship. Additional matching is available when you disclose your planned gift amount. Learn more about estate planning options here.
Why Now Matters
Matching funds are limited and available first-come, first-served. The larger the endowment grows, the more students benefit — and the stronger the fund becomes to serve future generations. Every scholarship removes a barrier. Every gift moves a student forward.
