Springfield Adult Learning Center
The Springfield Adult Learning Center (SALC) offers free day and evening English classes for adults in Massachusetts. Students join our program to improve their communication skills for college, careers, and community engagement. All are welcome!
The Springfield Adult Learning Center is located on the campus of Springfield Technical Community College (STCC).
SALC provides free instruction in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Morning and evening classes are offered in levels ranging from true beginner to advanced. In addition, students work with an academic and career advisor and build technology skills. The program provides support for:
- transition to college;
- workforce development;
- other community goals.
Participants receive certificates for attendance, achievement, and completion.
